  • KERI AND ED OCHOA, NJDF PARENTS SINCE 2018

“Madison’s journey at FAC/NJDF began when she was just five years old. After one year of recreational dance, she was invited to audition for the company team. At the time, we were hesitant to take that next step, but it ultimately became the beginning of an extraordinary chapter in her growth.

Madison’s path has never been defined by being the strongest dancer in the room. It has been defined by perseverance, consistency, and an unwavering willingness to work. She has learned to accept corrections, embrace challenges, and continue moving forward even when progress was not immediate.

Throughout the years, Kayla, Rosemary, and Alana continually encouraged us to trust the process and, more importantly, to trust their vision for Madison. There were moments when they saw potential in her that we, as her parents, could not yet see. Their ability to recognize that potential, nurture it, and challenge her with intention has been invaluable.

Over the past two years, and especially this past season, we have witnessed a remarkable transformation. Madison has grown into a confident, expressive, and disciplined dancer who believes in herself and is willing to step beyond her comfort zone. The technical growth has been incredible, but the confidence and maturity she has developed are what stand out most.

NJDF has given Madison far more than exceptional dance training. It has given her a foundation built on discipline, resilience, confidence, artistry, and the understanding that meaningful growth takes time.

Watching her evolve from a little girl who simply loved to dance into the young artist she is becoming has been incredibly special. We are deeply grateful to Kayla, Rosemary, and Alana for their commitment to Madison, for believing in her before she fully believed in herself, and for helping her discover just how much she is capable of. We can't wait to see what the future holds for her.”

  • ANAIH MELENCIANO, NJDF DANCER SINCE 2011

"I’ve been a part of NJDF basically my whole life, and I honestly can’t imagine growing up without it. I’ve grown so much here, not just as a dancer but as a person too, and it’s helped me become more confident and push myself out of my comfort zone.

Some of my best memories and friendships have come from being on this team. What I love most about NJDF is how it feels like a second family and how we’re always there for each other."
